Abdominal strength and motor control (i.e. controlling the positioning and movement of the pelvis and spine) can be useful for more efficient movement as wel as with individuals with low back pain who may be sensitive to certain movements, positions, or loads that the abdominal muscles can resist against.
When I say “Core Strength & Stability”, I am in no way inferring tha your spine or “core” is inherently “unstable”… it’s actually inherently super strong!!.
But, as mentioned above, sometimes it can be helpful to learn how to better “stabilize” the pelvis and spine from moving into positions that are currently sensitive/painful, and/or to create a more rigid trunk that can better transmit force throughout the arms and legs.
